The Spessa di Capriva estate in the “Collio Goriziano” zone
The Spessa di Capriva estate consists of 30 hectares of vineyards, contentedly situated in the hills of the “Collio Goriziano” production zone, considered by international experts to be one of the best in the world for grapevine cultivation. This area, the expression of an excellent union between vineyards and the land, offers characteristics which are highly suited to viticulture: soil rich in mineral substances, southern exposure, the proper altitude and a dry windy climate with hot summers and cold winters.
All of this makes it possible for the agronomy technicians, oenologists and cellarmen of the Pighin winery, the architects of the production process, to win the approval of the most exigent and passionate consumers every year. This estate, a jewel with the appearance of an amphitheatre, has also adopted the Guyot training system, with a density of 4,200 vines per hectare.
